2021年4月創刊のインディペンデントマガジン『inch magazine』創刊号の第三刷。

一号目のテーマは「Stories」。
東京、ニューヨーク、アトランタに暮らす人々が、それぞれの生活体験から物語を綴る。

コロナ禍の中で広がったBlack Lives Matter運動を前に考えたこと、音楽が“ここではない何処か”へ手を差し伸べる物語、アメリカ南部から見た大統領選の裏側など。
2020年から2021年にかけて、世界が大きく変化した時代を今あらためて読み返す一冊。

MONJUのMC・仙人掌による初の書き下ろし自伝的短篇「ゴーサムウェー」、翻訳家・押野素子によるBLM運動に連なるエッセイ、Riverside Reading Clubによるブックガイド、アトランタ在住のジャーナリスト・池尻安希によるアメリカ南部のブラックコミュニティと大統領選をめぐるレポートなどを収録。

The theme of the first issue is “Stories.”
People living in Tokyo, New York, and Atlanta share stories drawn from their own lived experiences.

Reflections on the Black Lives Matter movement during the COVID-19 pandemic, a story of how music reaches toward somewhere beyond the present, and a look behind the scenes of the U.S. presidential election from the American South.
Reading it again now offers a way to revisit the rapidly changing world of 2020 and 2021.

Includes “Gotham Way,” the first autobiographical short story by Senninsho of MONJU; an essay connected to the BLM movement by translator Motoko Oshino; book recommendations by Riverside Reading Club; and a report on Black communities in the American South and the U.S. presidential election by Atlanta-based journalist Aki Ikejiri.
